2025 Greenhouse Gas-Free RFO

Resources for energy developers

Overview

PG&E is issuing its greenhouse gas (GHG)-free request for offers (RFO) to solicit for additional GHG-free generation Projects to be added to its portfolio in order to meet the state’s GHG emissions reductions targets contained in Senate Bill (SB) 100 and expanded upon in SB 1020. PG&E’s 2022 Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) was approved in California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) Decision (D.) 24-02-047.  This Decision authorizes PG&E to begin procurement towards meeting its IRP requirements, including IRP GHG emissions reductions targets. PG&E seeks GHG-free Projects with initial delivery dates from 2027-2032 to satisfy GHG emissions reduction targets in 2030 and beyond.
